About Me

Introduction

Hello and welcome to my blog,

Here I want to write about Linux, SAP, Cybersecurity, Docker and Kubernetes and much more. I just want to feel free to write about every topic I want. Although I want to keep this blog IT and Personal only. Finance is another topic that I personally think is very interesting, but I want this blog to be clean of random off-topic posts.

History Time

I am a trainee in a sap basis team and I am in my second year of training (after three years I will have my final examination). I’ve have always been interested in computers and especially in Linux. My first computer I got at the age of 5. Even for this time it was a pretty old machine, but it worked. My parents didn’t allow me to have this thing at home, so it went to my grandparents, where I spend a lot of time in general, so it wasn’t much of a problem. I spend a lot of time with my grandfather and my father at this thing, even though it was mostly gaming.

PC Gaming has always been a big part of my life. I tried console gaming many times, but always got back to PC. During middle school I spent a huge amount of time in gaming. A few friends and I setup servers for Arma 3 and Rust, because we were not satisfied with the server which were offered by others. This was my entry to the world of system administration and development. Although I always was interested in this stuff and tried a lot programming languages and linux as a distro, this was a turnover for me. I spend more and more time developing and administration our server.

The effort we put in the server paid of quite well: Our server was for over a year in the top 10 servers in our country and sometimes hit enormous player counts. We stopped this project because we wanted to face new challenges, instead of sticking to it for too long. After our 2 year journey to game server deployment, administration and modification, I got more and more into linux. I run my own mailservers and hosted more and more applications, not necessarily because I needed them, but much rather because I wanted to know how to do it. With Linux as my main operating system I spend a few years during my a levels to learn more about linux and started to get interested in docker and kubernetes, which were both totally new to me. Using docker for deployment made a lot of things easier, but building your own container and especially deploying it to kubernetes has been one of my projects which were very interesting to me.

After finishing my A-Levels I started an apprenticeship to become a certified systems integrator with the focus on SAP Basis. I don’t know if I want to stick to this forever, but for the time being I’m very happy with what I do and I want to try out much more things in the future.
